Banana Bread

To be honest, for a long time I had no idea what on earth that actually is/was, whatever. Recently on Instagram I again stumbled across it and as my bananas often go over-ripe for my taste, it was a perfect recipe to really get rid off those and still use them instead of trashing them. Because of this, you are supposed to take older bananas and not the “fresh” and crisp ones.

So it was time to google here and there and I am really wondering why it is called “bread” if it actually is more of a cake than a bread. Okay, it is something in between, but still, really confusing. Nevertheless, really tasty!

Ingredients for one bread:

  • 3 bananas
  • 300g flour
  • 100g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
    4 spoons oil
  • 1 pack baking powder
  • 1 pack vanilla sugar
  • chocolate crisps

Weight Watchers (SP) for the full bread (850g) : 58 points



And it is really easy to make, believe me:

  • Mash the bananas
  • Add sugar, egg, salt, oil and vanilla sugar and mix it
  • Add flour and baking powder to the mix
  • Add chocolate crisps or something else
  • Put into oven for 45min at 180°C
  • Enjoy!
